The G Pen Micro 2 is a pocket-sized concentrate vaporizer from Grenco Science, built around a 1,250mAh battery and a 0.8-ohm ceramic atomizer. In our experience testing pen-style concentrate devices, the standout here is the digital display: most vapes at this size give you a single LED, but the Micro 2 shows temperature, heating status and battery at a glance.

It's the successor to the original G Pen Micro, one of the devices that helped define the pocket concentrate category over a decade ago. The Micro 2 keeps the same compact footprint but adds a proper screen, adjustable airflow and a faster 5-second heat-up, which brings it closer to what we'd expect from a 2026 release rather than a straight reissue.

Three Heat Settings and How They Perform

The Micro 2 runs three fixed temperatures: LOW at around 146°C (295°F), MEDIUM at 171°C (340°F), and HIGH at 202°C (395°F), with a tolerance of roughly 8 to 17°C either side depending on setting. We found LOW best suited to flavour-focused sessions, while HIGH is there for denser, heavier draws when flavour is less of a priority.

Two heating modes are available: a 20-second Session Mode for hands-off, automatic sessions, or Manual Heating for up to 25 seconds of direct button control. Haptic feedback pulses once the chamber reaches temperature, so you're not staring at the screen waiting.

Airflow, Build and Battery Life

Airflow is adjustable from fully open to restricted, which is a genuine upgrade over the fixed-draw design of the original Micro. The body is anodised aluminium, and at 86g and under 100mm long it disappears into a pocket easily.

Battery life is rated at up to 120 sessions per charge from the 1,250mAh cell, with USB-C fast charging bringing it back to full in under 60 minutes. Pass-through charging means you can keep using it while it's plugged in, and a 10-minute auto shutoff protects the battery and atomizer if you forget to switch it off.

Who Is the Micro 2 For?

The Micro 2 suits anyone who wants a genuinely pocketable concentrate vape without dropping down to a single fixed temperature. It works well as a first concentrate device for someone stepping up from a basic 510 pen, and equally as a discreet secondary device for someone who already owns a desktop rig but wants something for outside the house.

If you're after water filtration at home, the separately sold Sidecar and 14mm Rig Adapter extend the Micro 2 to rig-style sessions, so the same device covers both on-the-go and seated use.

G Pen Micro 2 vs the Original Micro

The step up from the original Micro is mostly about control: adjustable airflow, a digital display instead of a single-colour LED, and a wider three-setting temperature range replace what was a simpler, more limited device. Battery capacity and session count are both higher on the Micro 2, and the 5-second heat-up is noticeably quicker in practice.

Our Take on the G Pen Micro 2

We've handled a fair few pocket concentrate vapes at Herbalize Store, and the Micro 2 earns its spot for a simple reason: it does the basics properly. The digital display sounds minor until you're used to guessing at a single LED colour, and adjustable airflow is the kind of feature that's easy to skip on a budget device but genuinely changes how a session feels.

In our experience, the 20-second Session Mode is where most people will live day to day. It's quick enough not to feel like a chore, and the haptic buzz at temperature means you're not second-guessing whether it's ready. Manual Heating is there for anyone who wants more control, but we found Session Mode covered most everyday use without needing it.

It won't replace a dedicated dab-rig for serious home sessions, and it isn't trying to. Where it stood out for us was as a genuinely pocketable device that doesn't feel like a compromise, one of the more capable options we've come across at this size and price point.
